Mission Statement
Our company, founded in 2006 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of UIC Oboronprom, is the managing body of the consolidated Russian helicopter industry. Our mission is to set new standards of competitiveness, efficiency, technology, and profitability and to assume a leading position on the global helicopter market. An integrated and centralized industry is key in satisfying state and market demand, boosting development, manufacture, sales, modernization processes, aftersale service, and logistic support of military and civil helicopters.
Structure of the Production Enterprise
Consolidation helped to reorganise and renovate the Russian helicopter industry. It brought together practically all companies working on rotorcraft: developers and manufacturers of helicopters and related equipment, and those offering aftersale support.
Integrated companies allow us to cover the entire life of helicopters of any type and class – from the drawing board to disposal.
R&D and experimental engineering are done by the Moscow Mil Helicopter Plant and Kamov. They are two of the most respected and advanced helicopter schools in the world. Some experimental work is now also done by the Kazan Helicopter Plant.
Aircraft plants have also been brought together, and these are the largest rotorcraft OEMs in the world. All of them are multiproduct enterprises with established technical processes, tight industrial bonds, and rich working traditions. The Russian helicopter industry has already produced over 26 thousand rotorcraft weighing 1—56 tons.
The Kazan Helicopter Plant produces the medium Mi-8/17 and the light Ansat helicopters and is on its way to starting the manufacture of the Mi-38. The Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant also manufactures the Mi-8/17. Rostvertol is engaged in the production of the heavy Mi-26, the transport/combat Mi-24/35, attack helicopters Mi-28N, and prepares the light Mi-2 for production. Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise builds the medium Ka-27/Ka-32 and the light Ka-226 helicopters. Arsenyev Aviation Company Progress is engaged in the production of the attack helicopters Ka-50/52 and the light civil Mi-34.
Helicopter Service Company, JSC, handles aftersale support, which includes repair, furbishing, and service maintenance.
Other companies within the framework of the integrated enterprise manufacture helicopter components and systems and provide aftersale support: Vpered Moscow Machine-Building Plant, and the Stupino Machine-Building Industrial Enterprise.
