Ulan-Ude/17 February 2010 – Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, part of the rotorcraft industry holding managed by Russian Helicopters, delivered one passenger and three cargo Mi-171 helicopters to International Handling Company Ltd. of Azerbaijan.
Moscow/7 December 2009 – Russian Helicopters is pursuing modernisation of constituent companies by introducing prospective industry technology to the manufacturing process. As part of this move Arsenyev Aviation Company Progress named after N.I. Sazykin will see full-scale technical overhaul in 2009—2015. The company manufactures the famous Ka-50 Black Shark and Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters and the Ka-60/62. The new light Mi-34C2 Peregrine is about to enter production.
Moscow/7 December 2009 – Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise (KumAPE) has completed tests of a Ka-226T fitted with Turbomeca engines. The model uses French Arrius 2G turboshafts and a Russian VR-226N gearbox.
Moscow/4 December 2009 – Russian Helicopters, JSC, and UZROSAVIA (Uzbekistan) have signed an agreement on the principles of cooperation in service and maintenance of Russian rotorcraft. The agreement was signed in Moscow and will coordinate the cooperation of the two companies on service and maintenance of Russian rotorcraft in Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries. The agreement is effective 5 years and may be continued.
Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, 17 November 2009 – Today, Russian Helicopters held the first regional conferenceentitled New Approaches to Aftersale Service and Maintenance of Mi Helicopters. It was held at Dubai Airshow 2009, taking place at Airport Expo, Dubai, from 15 through 19 November. The conference brought together representatives of the Russian industry, heads of Russian-made helicopter operators from the Middle East, and delegates from regional air authorities.
Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, 16 November 2009 – Russian Helicopters, JSC, together with Airfreight Aviation Ltd., have established International RotorCraft Services, FZC. The opening ceremony was held on 16 November in Sharjah, the UAE. The newly-founded company will service Russian-made civil helicopters in countries of the Middle East, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Neuliche Zertifizierung durch Europäische Agentur für Flugssicherheit (EASA) des russischen Mehrzweckshubschraubers Ka-32A11BC, der auch als Brandschutzhubschrauber angewendet werden kann, vergrössert das Interesse für seine Möglichkeiten von den kommerziellen Betreibern der EU. Jetzt kann er nicht nur von den Staatsorganen der EU, sondern auch von den privaten Hubschrauberbetreibern der angehörigen Ländern benutzt werden.
Frankfurt am Main/3 November 2009 – Russian Helicopters showcased its firefighting rotorcraft at the international airspace supply fair AIRTEC 2009 that kicked off today in Frankfurt. The recent certification by EASA of the multi-role Ka-32A11BC, also used in firefighting missions, makes it an attractive option for commercial operators in the EU. It can now be employed by both EU state authorities and private helicopter companies.

Russian specialists from the holding have spoken to potential European customers and existing regional partners on the advantages of popular Russian multi-role helicopters such as the Mi-17, special capabilities of the recently EASA-certified Ka-32A11BC and ways of employing the multi-role Mi-38 that is awaiting mass production. Exhibition visitors were shown mock-ups of the new light Ka-226T and Ansat helicopters.
Moscow/9 October 2009 – Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise, JSC, part of the industrial holding managed by Russian Helicopters, has produced the first shipment of the anti-submarine Ka-28 for The Republic of China Navy. The helicopters were ordered by Rosoboronexport. The first three of nine helicopters are completing tests.

Moscow, 8 September 2009 - India is a traditionally high-priority market for the Russian helicopter industry. Russian Helicopters, JSC, as the managing body of the Russian helicopter enterprises within its framework, is broadening its global presence by moving its products to new markets and increasing sales on traditional ones. India is one of the latter, and demand is kept up by improving aftersale service. Russian Helicopters is focussed on cooperating with Indian customers and operators – local private companies and state institutions.
Moscow – Russian Helicopters, JSC, officially revealed the Sapsan – the first Russian FAR-27 turbine helicopter and the centrepiece of the holding’s interior exposition at MAKS airshow.
Moscow – Despite the global economic downturn, Russian Helicopters, JSC, has managed to increase production and displays stable financial growth. Enterprises within the framework of the holding put out 169 helicopters in 2008. This number is expected to rise to 220 by the end of 2009.
Zhukovsky, MAKS – Russian Helicopters, JSC, and Turbomeca have signed a memorandum on engine deliveries for the first Russian light turbine helicopter Sapsan (Mi-34S2) at MAKS airshow.
Zhukovsky, MAKS – Russian Helicopters, JSC, is to deliver 20 Mi-171 helicopters to the Sharjah, UAE-based Airfreight Aviation Ltd. A contract to that end has been signed at the MAKS 2009 airshow between the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant – the manufacturer of the helicopter– and Airfreight Aviation Ltd. The Mi-171 helicopters in transport configuration will be delivered to the customer in 2010.
Moscow – Russian Helicopters, JSC, is to start maintenance of Russian-made helicopters at the newly opened helicopter MRO center in the Republic of Sudan, within the framework of the Safat aviation complex at Khartoum.
Paris – Russian Helicopters, JSC, and Pall Europe have started cooperation on the M-8/17 helicopter modernization program. The Moscow Mil Helicopter Plant and Pall Europe signed an agreement at Paris Air Show 2009 to provide engine particle separators for new and previously delivered civil Mi-8/17 helicopters.
